EcoStatAI — Terms and Conditions

These terms describe the intended licensing arrangement for EcoStatAI. A particular purchase is governed by the checkout details and the licence confirmation issued for that order. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not excluded.
1. Ownership
EcoStatAI, its original source code, interface, documentation, branding, and associated materials are proprietary to Dr. Faiz ul Haq, except for third-party components governed by their own licences. No copyright-registration status is represented by this notice.
2. Licence options, prices, and duration
- Free academic evaluation: non-commercial evaluation only for seven consecutive 24-hour periods beginning at first successful activation.
- Academic individual: PKR 1,000 or US$10, one-time payment.
- Departmental: PKR 6,000 or US$60, one-time payment.
- Institutional: PKR 12,000 or US$120, one-time payment.
- Commercial: PKR 10,000 or US$100, one-time payment.
Paid licences do not require annual renewal. A paid licence remains valid for the EcoStatAI product version and scope stated in the licence certificate, subject to these terms. It does not automatically include future major versions, updates, maintenance, training, or support. The permitted user category and scope must be recorded in the order or written licence.
3. Payment, confirmation, and delivery
For online checkout, paid licences are issued only after the payment provider confirms a completed transaction to the licensing server. A browser message, screenshot, pending transaction, or payment initiation alone is not proof of payment. Applicable price, currency, taxes, and payment-provider terms are shown at checkout. Do not send card numbers, security codes, passwords, or payment credentials to the licensor by email or messaging.
As an alternative, the website may display the licensor's Easypaisa and Bank Alfalah transfer details. Transfers to those accounts are handled manually unless and until a verified bank or wallet integration is expressly announced. A transfer receipt or screenshot does not constitute automatic confirmation, does not itself issue a licence key, and does not authorize a download. The customer must provide the transaction reference through the official contact channel; the licensor will issue the licence only after independently confirming receipt of the correct amount. Never send PINs, passwords, OTPs, or other account credentials.
Where the online checkout or licensing service is unavailable, do not assume an order, payment, download authorization, or licence activation has succeeded. Contact the licensor using the official website details.
4. Activation, expiry, and device limits
A licence key is a credential and must be kept confidential. Unless the order states otherwise, a key is intended for one installation/device at a time. For evaluation keys, the seven-day period starts at first successful activation. A paid licence has no annual renewal and no scheduled expiry for the covered version and scope, unless the written licence expressly states otherwise. A revoked, refunded, reversed, or invalid key does not authorize further licensed use. Device replacement or reactivation may require a review by the licensor.
Activation and validation at startup require internet access. The planned integrated build periodically revalidates an active session; if a transient network failure occurs while the application is already running, the session may remain open and validation will be retried. No offline activation is supported, and a new application launch requires successful online validation. A server outage by itself is not proof that a key has expired; the application must distinguish service failures from an explicit invalid/expired response.
5. Evaluation licence
The evaluation licence is for assessing suitability before purchase. It may not be used to provide paid third-party services or for commercial consultancy unless expressly authorized in writing. Evaluation access may be limited to one evaluation key per email address and may be refused where abuse or fraud is detected.
6. Permitted use and restrictions
Use the software only within the scope of the licence granted. Except where applicable law permits or the licensor authorizes it in writing, users must not redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or remove ownership notices from the software. Institutional and commercial use requires the appropriate licence; an individual evaluation licence does not grant institution-wide rights.
7. Research responsibility
EcoStatAI supports ecological and statistical analysis. Results depend on data quality, method selection, assumptions, and interpretation. Users are responsible for checking input data, validating methods and outputs, retaining appropriate research records, and drawing scientific conclusions. The software is not a substitute for expert judgment or independent validation.
8. Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks
Refund eligibility is determined by the checkout terms and applicable law. If a payment is refunded, reversed, or charged back, the corresponding paid licence may be suspended or revoked. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights. Contact the licensor promptly if a duplicate charge or delivery problem occurs.
9. Installer security and updates
The EcoStatAI v1.0.0 installer referenced by this project is unsigned. Windows may display an unknown-publisher warning. A SHA-256 checksum can detect a byte mismatch against the published value but does not establish publisher identity or make an unsigned installer signed. Do not run a file whose checksum does not match the published checksum. Future releases must not be described as signed unless a valid signature is verified on the actual file.
10. Availability and changes
Reasonable efforts will be made to operate the checkout and validation service, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Do not interpret a temporary service failure as an automatic licence revocation. Material licence changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise. The terms accepted for an existing paid order will not be silently replaced in a way that removes the purchased duration.
11. Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the software is provided “as is” without a guarantee that it is error-free or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived. To the extent permitted by law, the licensor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the software.
12. Privacy
For details about website, order, payment-status, and licence information processing, read the Privacy Notice. Payment-card information is handled by the payment provider and should not be collected by EcoStatAI's own forms.
